Very clean and polished sounding. Makes me think of a space-aged future. I could tell from how the name was spelled that it was German.

Kraftwerk started in 1968, and was one of the first electronic groups along with The United States of America, White Noise, and Tonto's Expanding Headband. We saw them back in 1980 in Los Angeles and they are cool live. The crowd was really dancing, and they even interact with the audience. Kraftwerk are revered in Europe and Japan on the level of The Beatles. They are all in their 60s, and all 4 lifelong vegetarians. In fact, most modern music, including Trent and 9 Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, and even Lady Gaga all have their origins with Kraftwerk, much the same as metal has it's origins with Black Sabbath.

Are they supposed to be in a spaceship? Could be. They have always said they love technology, and that it was to liberate humans and increase our intelligence, and not to be used for power and enslavement. Here's an interesting clip. It is a Russian movie from 1958 "Road To The Stars", with "Space Lab" over it.
