He was a good actor but also a bigot, homophobe, anti-woman's rights, Fundamentalist, and Global Warming denier. He was a Democrat originally, supported helping the little person, opposed McCarthy, until he pulled a Reagan, and became a Republican. His Alzheimer's was setting in at that point. www.vpc.org/nrainfo/speech.html

He stood up to Michael Moore's anti-second amendment unconstitutional horse shit...so in my book he's ok.

So, a single issue, 2nd Amendment, overrides all of his other Uber-Fascist, corporate, Zealot ideas, including the turnaround on the Civil Rights Act?
How many people were harmed by the perpetration of such ideas?
Michael Moore still assists the little guy more than Heston. Moses was a shill for rednecks, fundamentalists, corporatists, and bigots, and I am neutral toward his death, since he did do great things in the 50s and 60s, including opposing the Vietnam War, marching with MLK, thought feminists were on the right track, and disliking McCarthy. He literally was losing his mind, and became a Republican, and de-evolution took it's course.

I liked this movie of Heston's, Dark City from 1950. Film Noir and pretty good anti-government/anti-fascist message. He was like this until in the 1970s, and then became Republican. Though often portrayed as an ultra-conservative, Heston wrote in his 1995 autobiography "In the Arena" that he was opposed to the McCarthy witch hunts of the 1950s, was against the Vietnam War and thought President Richard Nixon was bad for America. That is the part of him that I will miss. www.imdb.com/title/tt0042379/

Ummm...NO...not just on Gun Control. He was instrumental in helping to sideline the 911 truth movement. Not quite. Read Alex Jones here: www.prisonplanet.com/articles/june2007/190607Moore.htmMichael Moore: 9/11 Could Be Inside JobDiscusses Explosions in Buildings, Demands '100 Angles' of Pentagon Video, and Calls for a New Investigation-- "They Haven't Even Told Us Half the Truth." Tuesday June 19, 2007 Academy Award winner Michael Moore answered questions on 9/11 truth during a sneak peak of his new documentary, SICKO, in New York. Our reporters were initially avoided by Moore, but he subsequently decided to approach We Are Change.org/ Infowars.com reporters for a discussion. Moore brought up his lingering questions on 9/11, which are a clear departure from the 'government negligence' picture he painted in his film Fahrenheit 9/11, released some three years ago. Moore told reporters, "I've had a number of firefighters tell me over the years and since Fahrenheit 9/11 that they heard these explosions-- that they believe there's MUCH more to the story than we've been told. I don't think the official investigations have told us the complete truth-- they haven't even told us half the truth." Michael Moore brought up the blackout of video at the site of the alleged Pentagon plane crash on his own, appearing quite willing to discuss subjects that so-called left gatekeepers have previously refused to raise questions about. "I've filmed there before down at the Pentagon-- before 9/11-- there's got to be at least 100 cameras, ringing that building, in the trees, everywhere. They've got that plane coming in with 100 angles. How come with haven't seen the straight-- I'm not talking about stop-action photos, I'm talking about the video. I want to see the video; I want to see 100 videos that exist of this," Moore said. He went on to imply the implausibility of a pilot executing the flight pattern of the flight that allegedly hit the Pentagon. "Why don't they want us to see that plane coming into the building? Because, if you know anything about flying a plane, when you're going 500 miles per hour, if you're off by that much, you're in the river. So, they hit a building that's only 5 stories high...[unclear] that expertly. I believe that there will be answers in that video tape and we should demand that that tape is released." Michael Moore was not vague or bashful in discussing 9/11 truth-- rather, he demanded a "new investigation before we get too far away from this-- to find out the whole truth." "And I intend, in my own way, to find some answers," Moore added. "Thank you for doing whatever you're doing." Amy Goodman, who was also at the premiere, cowered from a question that brought up the fact that she witnessed WTC Building 7 collapse-- she was seen on video during news coverage of the apparent demolition. She declined even a brief response, stating that an interview was about to begin. Moore's most recent comments on 9/11 are a far cry from statements he made to Alex Jones during the 2004 RNC convention when he told Jones, tongue-in-cheek, that he didn't report on NORAD standing down because "it would be un-American." This is a huge development given the fact that, despite overwhelming discontent with the Bush Administration, many left leaning personalities have previously dismissed the importance of investigating 9/11 or simply decline to discuss any outstanding questions or relevant evidence. Noam Chomsky, for one, suggested that it "wouldn't matter" even if 9/11 had been hatched from a government plot. Will the mainstream media continue to ignore the fact that the official story on 9/11 is all but dead, and more and more figures are coming forth to demand the truth?

If that is the case....then I definately disagree with Alex jones. I don't trust Moore. Then who are we to trust? A lot of left-leaning 9/11 Truthers don't trust Alex Jones because of his anti-environmental and anti-feminist views, and not exposing Israel at all. On top of that he belongs to some organization that wants to over-rule The Constitution. My opinion is they are on the same side, but with different people who follow them. Nobody is perfect. To me that increases the exposure to 9/11 truth. Again, read Mike Malloy. He is for guns, 9/11 Truth, anti-police state, AND likes feminists, environmentalists, gay rights......but most importantly, he supports The Constitution.

Im all for Gay rights....as long as they dontntry to beat everyone over the head saying they MUST have pre-teen kids learn anal sex in schools....and that is proposed by some gay advocates.
I am for womens rights..but I cannot stand man hating...man blaming (for everything) feminist supremacists who think men are no good and the cause of all the problems in the world..and ESPECIALLY CIA funded "feminists" like Gloria Steinem. Women who think masculinity and manhood is "bad"...sorry...that IS total horseshit. They also seem to HATE traditional families.
I am an Environmentalist to a degree. HOWEVER..I am NOT for radical lunatics who think we shouldnt have technology, believe that eveything is "all mans fault" (just like many feminists think) and worse still are those who think "the debate on global warming is over". Absolutists abound in these circles. I think to "save the earth" you have to make it profitable...not bankrupt, tax, punish and kill people.

Im all for Gay rights....as long as they dontntry to beat everyone over the head saying they MUST have pre-teen kids learn anal sex in schools....and that is proposed by some gay advocates. Sex should not be taught to pre-pubescent kids, neither hetero or homo. However, children having two gay or lesbian parents is normal, and in some cases , better than hetero sexual parents. In social teaching, Judeo-Christian values on the relationship itself should not come into play teaching kids. Yeah, I too am bothered by the target of advertising being "dumb" white males, even by some blacks and Asians. Men and woman are equal. However, a male dominated culture has gotten us into the present situation we are in. I seriously doubt females, with their nurturing instincts to be as destructive as macho men, except in the case of females wanting to emulate the worst aspects of being a man. I think that most true environmentalists accept and utilize technology, the Techno-Pagans if you will. What you are talking about is the classic Luddite, which is not the norm. Today's environmentalist is one who wants Green technology to eventually replace Carbon-Burning technology. To me that is an evolutionary step. Eventually this will come to pass. As far as Global Warming, never before have we added this much CO2 to the atmosphere, and if you read some of my other posts, you would see the evidence that plants have reached CO2 saturation point, and it is no longer utilized properly. This is something the Mike Riveros and others seem to gloss over. To sum it up, I think if you take the politics out of gay rights, woman's rights, and environmentalism, they are much more logical and forward looking than the Biblical influenced views of a lot of the Neo-Cons and Fundamentalists. I think it is fear of the future which prompts a lot of people to not embrace a New Technology.

I wasn’t a big fan of Bowling For Columbine. I also thought that Heston’s pro-gun rally immediately after the Columbine tragedy was ill timed and inappropriate.
