Welcome aboard Mech,
"A special call to those tuned into this station
Clearing out the static to groove with this migration
Stepping into cyberspace flying with electrons
Gliding in the sights and sounds created as we go"

Wow, the gas is dispersed very evenly around these parts. I feel like I'm floating! ;D The Galactic Center is contacting all inner and outer dimensional travellers to help plot a course. Art and Science to carry us!

Swampgas & Thetaloops: I FINALLY got a chance to come back here. It's nice to see the familiar names, and it's especially nice to see Thetaloops posting here! BTW, I just love what you did with the colors! Purple - my favorite! Feels like home already.

That's so nice JBE! Happy to be back posting. The last few months have been outwardly crazy and yet very insightful. I love the concentration on art and music as well as the polititics here, it's a nice balance at Galactic Center. It's just a baby site but it's got along way to go, and this is a big universe. Together we can make it a fun ride, instead of a boxing ring. Together to make a better future!

Hi everyone, It's Flutething. I played in a band with swampgas in 1972 in a band called Cathedral from NJ, an offshoot of the early 70's 'Art Rock'. I know Thetaloops just as long, good old time friends.

Joe, Stop scaring us like that! Good to see you here! Your Intragalactic conversations will be appreciated here! Flutething! Since we still keep in contact after 32 years, this is a public hello! Flute played pedal steel, Putney VCS3 synth, vocals, and flute first in a band called Leviathan in NJ. We did Floyd, King Crimson, ELP, Arthur Brown, Tull, Moody Blues, and original material similar starting in 1971. Man people either loved it, or thought we were nuts. In our band was the drummer from Meatloaf, and the manager of Ozzie Osbourne, on second keys. He wasn't a very good keyboardist BTW. Setting up Flute's ProTools Studio, and on our next CD, we may hear from him again.

Greetings KNOWTHIS,
We knew you'd eventually get over to this "cool down" site. Your insight will be greatly appreaciated here.
Waiting for the Marilyn Manson thread! That could branch into other terrotories, I'm sure!

I've got a question, off topic though about the Jeff Rense show. How do I find out what station it's on in my area? I couldn't find any info. on the website, could've missed it though. I'm assuming it's am radio right, when does it usually air?

That stuff never seems to work with dial-up, damn! Thanks for pointing that out though, I was hoping it was broadcast over the radio as well. It appears not.

Way Cool Site! Thank you so much for the invite, swampgas. I guess you like'd my bro's music? (you never said anything.... sigh.) Or did you miss listening to the midi file? Actually, I did some of the album art for one of his albums, but dang if I know which one. Gees- that was.. I'm counting... 14 years ago! I feel SO old! I'm going to spend some time reading here, but the way I interact, I could be posting later this evening. A warm hello to everyone. jenal aka skeen.

:)Hey, it's really great to be here!!! Many thanks for the invite, Swamp!!! Really need a nice place like this to cool down and just relax for awhile. I've been spending a rainy day up here in Rochester N.Y. working on my art and listening to my collection of Doo-Wop music and Oldies!!! Being an old fogie now, I can say with pride that I really relate to the stuff. I'll have to pay a visit to the music forum real soon. Really great to be here with all of you, and thanks again Swamp!

:)A good group, Swamp. I have many of their songs in my growing collection. My favorite Doo-Wops are from around 1956/7 to around 1962, which is when they started to gradually fade out. But even some of these later Doo-Wops were excellent. A highlight of my day today was listening to a collection by Rosie and the Originals and Kathy Young, singing songs of the early 1960's. This is the first time I had heard a lot of these songs, and hearing Kathy Young sing "Angel Baby", and Rosie and the Originals sing Kathy Young's big hit, "A Thousand Stars", really sent me for a loop!!! Also, I've just discovered that the Edsels did a couple of versions of Rama Lama Ding Dong, some of which weren't released on records back then. I think the unreleased versions were better than their original hit. Also, two other groups, can't think of their names at the present, just re-did this song in a modern version... they were both EXCELLENT! I'm not too good on names, I have so many songs now that most of the time I just listen to them and enjoy, but when something good comes up, I'll take note. I'm just starting to really get into this. I had absolutely NO idea that there were SO MANY excellent songs that the am radio stations hid from us. By the way, have you ever heard Dions "My Little Lost Girl"? I believe that it was the flip side of "Run Around Sue". I just got it, haven't heard it in ages. It came out in 1961, haden't heard it since then, and when I listened to it the other day, I was transported back to our old high school gym, where the chicks used to all dance to the 45's being played on the Juke Box during our lunch hour. Ahhhhh..... the memories!!!!!
