Yes, Smilin' Billy. Never controversial, but just about everywhere.
60s musicians are taking a beating recently.

I was very disappointed as well when I heard of his passing. He was one of the mainstays of psychedelia in the 60's. He will be missed.

In Eric Clapton's tribute to George Harrison, Billie performed a couple of beautiful his songs. "My Sweet Lord" was a real tear-jerker.
I don't know if it has been mentioned here before, but it is a double DVD set; very moving.
On another note, I notice the Doors haven't been mentioned here. They are one of my all-time favorites. "Absolutely Live" was one of the best. The 20 minute version of THE END was over the top. "Hey mister light man!"

Damn, Mark, you are correct. How could we?
I'm starting a thread now under music.
