China fears disasters, grain cut from global warming

Global warming threatens to intensify natural disasters and water shortages across China, driving down the country's food output, the Chinese government has warned, even as its seeks to tame energy consumption.

A forthcoming official assessment of the effects of global climate change on China will warn of worsening drought in northern China and increasing "extreme weather events", according to the Ministry of Science and Technology's Web site (www.most.gov.cn) on Wednesday.

A deputy director of the National Climate Center, Luo Yong, was blunt about the risks for China's food production.

"The most direct impact of climate change will be on China's grain production," he said on Tuesday, according to the Science Times newspaper.

"Climate change will bring intensified pressure on our country's agriculture and grain production."

The official report promises to stir debate about whether and how China can balance its ambitious goals for economic growth with steps to rein in rising greenhouse gas emissions from industry and cars, which keep heat in the atmosphere and threaten to dramatically increase the planet's average temperatures.

In the book that I’m reading now it explains that historically there have been three forms of “order” put in to place by the rulers/leaders to control their populace. The three social control valves up until now being religion, military and money. To this day we can see these three forms or combinations of them being utilized all around the world today. A "new world order" is about to emerge adapting to the changing climate so to speak. Might it be food/water control this time? As you said it’s a basic human ‘need’ so what a mighty tool it would be for the elitist controllers. With the potential threat of food/water shortages how perfect of a “solution” genetically modified crops and cloned meats would be, huh?

Remember, a “useless eater” is a 'consumer' that for whatever reason is no longer a 'producer'. In other words, the homeless, unemployed or retired etc. We’re only useful to the globalist “international citizens of the world” if we’re serving them in some way. What will they do with the “useless” ones when the coming changes strike?
