Gee, what do you know? There are other viable energy sources besides Exxon's oil. Even Joe Schmoe was able to figure it out. Despite what alarmists might say, our lifestyles don’t have to come to an abrupt halt just because we move to alternative energy sources. If we can clone human body parts then you can be damn sure that we can find cleaner and more efficient ways to run an engine. I understand that Bush and his oil buddies don't want to hear that. So I guess we're just supposed to surrender to their desires and enjoy the pollution and suppression of technologies? Who wants clean air anyway. It’s only a vital necessity of life.

I read this earlier on. And found it to be interesting. My question is, when is digging up your yard, getting two large containers to put in your hole, and getting an endless supply of rotting food going to become affordable??. Is it going to take me 10 yrs to recoup what I've spent to do so. And how many americans can afford to do this, let alone convert their vehicle to methane?? This is the point I'm trying to make. You all want immediate changes but it just isn't feasible so how do we go about making this change without putting america out of business???

You asked for it with your smarmy attitude.
Have you ever been to a landfill. Do you realize how many tons upon tons of food waste is accumulated everyday? Besides, since when has the highly involved process of oil extraction become inexpensive? If the government wanted to subsidize such a movement it could happen and instead of gas stations there could be methane stations. But you’d rather keep giving your money to ‘fat bastard’ Lee Raymond apparently?
Also, there are other sources of methane. If you've ever been to a dairy farm you'd know that. There’s so much energy out there just waiting to be harnessed.
I’m sorry but Exxon Mobil does not represent the ultimate goal post of human achievement as much as you want to believe that. They’ve got you believing that you couldn’t possibly exist without their precious product. Forgive me for not wanting to be a victim of their monopolized stranglehold. And I never said the changes would happen overnight. But with oil cheerleaders like you out there constantly railing for Exxon and increased oil dependence we’ll never make any advancements. There will probably be major world wars fought over the seizure of oil fields in the future. This precious resource you cling to so dearly.

See the problem is you read what ever the hell you a want into what I say.I never once said I want what we have going on now. I said give some cheaper solutions for what you want. something the average everyday person can do to change,affordably... But no everytime we come into this topic all I am to you is a Exxon humping bush loving gas burning whatever. Get past what the hell you think I'm saying and read what I'm really saying,or are you to one sided for that? ? The other problem is you're looking to the government for a solution, Well it AIN"T gonna happen with this admin.or any up and coming admin,If ya think the dems got this all figured out your smokin some killer weed.. so why don't we fixate on what we can get changed rather then our own little pipe dreams. We neeed to wipe the slate clean by getting rid of the thieves in government, all of them from top to bottom.
