www.museum.tv/archives/etv/K/htmlK/KovacsErnie/kovacsErnie.htmIf Sandy Becker was psychedelic entertainment for kids, Ernie Kovacs was entertainment for aliens and beatniks. He experimented with LSD in the early 50's, and was THE first person to use video taping as an art form, which was different than most people at the time, who were simply recording old vaudeville skits. Kovacs was truly the first video artist. Absolutely Mind-Altering, and now we know why we think the way we do today.

Yes, Ernie Kovacs was a genius. He had us and thousands of people rolling on the floor. He didn't make too much money, his sets were so elaborate that it used up all the funds, but it was a labor of love for Ernie, Edie Adams (Phillips Cigar fame) and his whole crew. 'Who were smoking tea, I mean drinking tea and smoking.' ;D
