I almost suffered from heat stroke while laying blocks for the foundation of my neighbor’s house in 90 plus degree heat with high humidity.
I scratched the cornea of my eye after a rock had split apart and flew in to my face while pick axing some nasty thick chert (not to be confused with dirt). This was the same damn eye that I had injured many years ago after my stepbrother threw a post card at me and the corner tore a hole in my eye. I had to wear a patch throughout Christmas time that year.
I had to go to the doctor’s after my wrists swelled up with strange black markings forming in the middle. I initially feared the worst, that it was a bite from a brown recluse (horrible stuff!). I went to the doctor paranoid as hell and found out that it was only poison ivy scabbing up (finally a somewhat positive development). At least that’s what the doctor said it was. I have to go back if it gets any worse just in case. You know that your luck is bad when you’re relieved that you were exposed to poison ivy.
I lost my glasses amidst the chaos.
I lost my second cat. He snuck out and hasn’t come back in a week.
I could go on but there’s no need. I just needed to vent.
Nothing is going right in my life, nothing! I swear I’m going to lose it. I’m starting to wonder if may have accidentally uncovered some ancient curse which has hexed my ass.

Man, that's some heavy stuff. Sorry to hear that. This has been a rough year for all us Progressives and Constitutionalists. I had to go through 3 jobs before I landed the one now. The economy is really bad, as there are mechanics at my job that were making 4 times the amount they are now in IT and Finance. Everything will be OK. Just concentrate on the more positive things in your life, and you know you can always contact us offline.

I appreciate it. What worries me most is that I have no health insurance. I'm just one disaster away from being wiped out.
The good news. We found our cat, after a week. Our neighbor caught him in a non-harming trap.
