Anybody who thinks New Wave Music is just fancy haircuts, has not heard The Fixx. Absolutely spacey, and thought provoking. Their musicianship is on the level of King Crimson, ELP, Gentle Giant, or DEVO. And this was POP MUSIC. The 80's was the last time popular music had reached this level of musicianship, message, and humor. Now, we are back to pockets of good music, but not on a mass appeal level, much like it was in 1965-1966, right before Pop music went psychedelic. www.thefixx.com/

I've loved them since the 80's! They're so different. Whenever I play their music, my friends want to know who it is and are surprised to find out that the band has been around so long. One of my favorites is Deeper And Deeper. I have a lot of good lyrics that I haven't heard the tune to yet.

AHM, I love this band also. I think my favorite is 'Red Skies at Night'. They have a great video that goes with it also. I saw they have some mp3's of thier songs on this site. www.cathedralstone.net

Stand or fall tells a good story, I downloaded some stuff from these guys a couple years ago. The first sentence is surreal, crying parents tell their children, if you survive don't do as we did. How true that statement is.

Welcome Professor! I love 'Stand or Fall', also. The messages of the music from the 80's was so right on. Very reminiscent of the depth of the music of the sixties and early seventies. I'm sure the enlightenment from the exponential drugs that were being ingested has had something to do with it. Please enjoy the Galactic Center!
