Because Bill is bashing the faithful is he suddenly acceptable to you? I liked the other youtube clips off to the side (9-11 truthers crash his show) the clips reminded me that in fact he is still just a PRICK, feeding into the hatred toward those who want an answer as conspiracy theory wackos! This guy is an ass and has such an ego that he CAN'T hear any other point of view but his own. He pretends that he is hearing your view but you see the REAL hatred he has when he jumps up and goes after the guy.

Bill Maher is what is called a "Left Gatekeeper". On political issues, he is usually correct, but people like him are dopes when it comes to 9/11. I can look at an individual, and differentiate what is dumb and what is intelligent. Sarah Palin is a bimbo, but Maher is an idiot with 9/11. Alex Jones is very good at 9/11, but a dope when it comes to gays and environment.

In other forums I have been prefacing this post with the understanding that I’ve lost a tremendous amount of respect for Bill Maher because of his anti-9/11 truth antics. This is respect that he’ll never get back from me. However, even a broken clock can read the correct time at least twice in a day. There’s an old proverb, “If Hitler said that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, are you not going to believe him just because he’s Hitler”? The point is, even the biggest of assholes are right some of the time. If you want to get in to a debate about the inherent bigotry and judgmental nature of what most would call organized religion and faith I’d be happy to oblige you. The Bible itself, particularly in the Old Testament, is literally filled with misogynistic passages. Is that something worth believing in? Actually, at least belief is based on previous experiences. Faith is wishful thinking based on secondhand sources.

Well personally I beleive that science and the bible can co-exist. I am not saying that he is completely wrong either not on that subject,it is just that he is soooooo hateful in the clip,of the 9-11 truthers. We have people like this speaking for us in the government everyday, sad that we have to have the same on a program that is supposed to be our thoughts, thats all. He really is just an extension of the government on this issue.

He really is just an extension of the government on this issue. If the Bible has it's more far-out stories explained in a scientific and technical way, than that is true. It is the literal interpretation, and then forcing people to take it literal where the ptoblem lies with me. Bill Maher is right on when it comes to Bush, but I am not seeing much criticism of Obama. To me the most realistic approach for him is to examine ad be critical of both McCain and Obama. It's easy to make fun and hate Bush, much like it was with Nixon. we should be careful. A Democrat might install a full blown Police State. On 9/11, he takes the standard "Left Gatekeeper" view. i deal with this all the time. New York area has a lot of liberals, and many of them take the following views on 9/11: 1 - Bush was too dumb to pull it off 2 - It would take too many people 3 - You are a Conspiracy Theorist. 4 - The NIST Report and 9/11 Commision says so. And yet, they believe a conspiracy theory that 19 Arabs with box cutters, directed by a 6'6" guy in a cave could pull it off, and a $1.5 trillion dollar defense system could not scramble jets to intercept 4 hijacked jets. It is so blatantly a lie, and I guess Maher, like Air America, is in on this Zionist takeover. That is the New World Order in action.

I don't like any of them they are all for the zionist takeover.exactly true. I don't think it will be long either, and their insanity will take over. Have you noticed that all the movies coming out are government takeover sort of a thing. The movie Blindness is even advertised as controversial. The American public is too busy watching "Dancing with the stars"who cares?Too many people and this is why the U.S is soooooo fucked up.

Chicky, what is you and your family doing? I'm curious, because we need to compare notes. This is going to dwarf 1929 and the Depression. The Zionists are in control. Who would have thought. Well, JFK did. When you think about it he did not want Vietnam, no nukes for Israel, abolish the Fed, made friends with Khrushchev, wanted to disband the CIA, slept with Mafia woman, and took LSD. So, Paxil, Prozac, booze, speed, and heroin are now the drugs of choice for people, and war and extortion are accepted as normal.

Well staying put i do stock up on seeds and i can and freeze our garden veggies. We don't have extra monies to speak swamp'so there really isn't a lot to worry about bank wise. We have silver coin a fair amount, not 6 mos. worth. I was thinking about getting one of those hikers water purifyers we still have not gotten the steam filter. I am happy that where we are is with my father in law and it has been paid for for years, not fancy by any means. I already home school my daughter so she is with us. I do know it is time to not give people too much info about what you really think, not people in my area anyway. I will send you an email or private message and give you and Theta my cell number. I am a little sidetracked today I found out that a 57 year old friend of mine was air lifted quickly to Seattle last night suffering a brain anureism (sorry not spelled right) Anyways I will definitely be in touch, you guys.

I have a huge problem with merging science and the Bible when a large portion of the population... ....is opposed to gay marriage, because of the Bible. ...is opposed to stem cell research because of the Bible. ....is opposed to birth control because of the Bible. ....believes the earth is only 6,000 years old because of the Bible. I won't even get in to Adam, Eve and Noah's Ark. Sherri Sheperd of The View couldn't even answer if the world was flat or not. At some point you have to separate fact from fiction. www.youtube.com/watch?v=GbizzLzcpnMThe effects of what people like to call "prayer" can and has been explained by quantum physics.

I have always said that Religion and politics are basically useless, but Science, technology, art, and music are better replacements. For instance, if people put their money into Life Extension, Space Travel, and intelligence increase instead of the church, we would be a better society. The one good thing about religion is that it is a sort of social club for lonely people.

The one good thing about religion is that it is a sort of social club for lonely people. The church can be beneficial as a social community so long as it doesn't become a meeting place for thinly veiled hatred, ignorance and separateness. In the small town that I live in, there are many individual church communities. Most of which are exclusionary meaning they don't accept the beliefs of others, even differing sects of Christianity. If you happen to believe that it's OK to dance, wear jewelry, have a divorce or consume alcohol, you might very well be alienated from certain groups. At what point does a church switch from being a place of togetherness to being a place of social division? I suppose that it all depends on the teachings.

We are as humans, along with all things, comprised of sub-atomic particles which are immersed in a complex network of electrical and magnetic fields. When these fields change, so do the atoms themselves. What modern science [quantum physics] is now learning is that we can and do alter these fields simply by observing them which in turn effects matter. We play an active, participatory role in the shaping of this universe. This is a radical shift from the paradigm of conventional science which taught us that our thoughts, feelings and beliefs have no bearing on the physical world around us (or within us). This helps us to explain the placebo effect which has been well documented in previous scientific studies. Some people would argue that this is evidence of the healing effects of prayer and divine intervention. The problem is that the opposite is true as well. It’s known as the nocebo effect. www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn/A2709-2002Apr29The Nocebo Effect: Placebo's Evil TwinYour thought and beliefs, especially at the sub-conscious level have a tremendous impact on your health and even the world around you. If you truly believe that you’re going to heal from an ailment from praying then you just might. But it’s not because of the rewards of some God. Otherwise you must also blame God for punishing you with nocebo effects whenever you think negatively. The God and devil of the Christian belief I believe are symbolic representations of positive and negative belief systems. Here's a NY Times article on the placebo effect. mario.tepper.cmu.edu/rm2004/posts/placebos.pdfWhat's amazing is that collectively we can alter the course of events globally, not just internally. Einstein couldn't explain what he called, "Spooky action at a distance". We now understand this relationship as quantum entanglement. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantum_entanglement

What's important to mention is that the power is within us. We don't have to clasp our hands together and go begging for it from somewhere else.

Did you ever wonder why some people don't seem to age at the same rate as others? Why some people get cancer at an early age, others smoke for years and live to be a hundred? Why people respond so differently to the same exact forces? www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8DeBePK3Wg
