Hey is that the band 'The Chins'. I recognized them. Funny how they have their oriental business agent on stage with them? Some rockin' band! They were designated 'the Band that Defies Description' by the MC of the Uncle Floyd Show, due to the unending disguises and personas that the members would change into. Uncle Floyd was a local comedian that was kooky with a bizarre sense of humor. He MC'd local acts on his show. It was great fun! Noble Gas appeared on the Uncle Floyd Show in NJ at least dozen times through the 80's and early 90's. That is where many of the pictures above are from.

Thanks, swamp! I need a more peaceful place lately and cannot fit the debating and arguing in anymore. I'm doing a lot of angel work and need the positive energy (going out and coming in) rather than the other kinds. Looking forward to reading and posting here, once again!

Swamp....
You and Lily did a GREAT job on "Science Faction".
Its an intoxicatingly trippy song!
The kind of song that could very easily be played in trance clubs yet still be able to maintain another type of music genre.

A copy of that, plus some other goodies should be appearing soon. We are always in between writing politically oriented material and trippy stuff. Perhaps both. If there was any fault in Zappa, it was he couldn't relax. On the other hand, a lot of trip-hop and ambient people will never touch politics. Personally, and I know you would agree, they are both needed. I mean, what do ravers do when they are not raving?

Mech, Thanks so much for the supportive words on 'Science Faction'. It was great to have you over our place in JC and to have you get so excited about the song even before it was complete, it was fantastic and very encouraging. Space, Sexy and Funny has been out motto. Maybe you can add some vocals to one of our songs? TL

Gettin' "Science Faction" in spurts (remember, got a slow clampett computer). Sounded REAL GoooooooooooD![/size] A first on my part to like something I haven't heard in it's entirety. Absolutely Love that Voice, Beautiful, even better than Siouxie's (whom I adore). Hope this ol' machine will let me hear it completely. Any way, I'm sold. Can it be obtained w/ a money order? (I don't possess any numbers)

You can save the target to disc, and play from hard drive. Our other discs are available on Amazon, Tower, itunes, etc. We were just listening to Siouxie and The Banshees "Peek-a-Boo". I'm sure Thetaloops will take that as a compliment because, and I hope I'm speaking for her, she is an influence, as well as Lene Lovich, Arthur Brown, Julie London, Mark Mothersbaugh, and Dean Martin. Theta, you can add to that list.

AHM, Thank you so much. Siouxie has been a big influence over the years. She has such a mysterious look and voice. Very original. Swampgas you really hit it with all of my favorite influences. Lene Lovich, Arthur Brown, Julie London, Mark Mothersbaugh, and Dean Martin. One other not so well know would be Ursula Dudziak. She has an Ella Fitzgerald kind of skat style. Using her voice as instrument. I like this style it give the voice a chance to be part of the ensemble and lets the instrumentation get the chance to shine. Of course I give a huge amount of credit to Swampgas. He has been a trooper, helping me develope my voice, as well as correcting the imperfections, with is highly advanced engineering abilities For 25yrs we have been producing music together. I write most of the lyrics and do some melody writing, and Swamp writes and plays most of the music composition and does all the engineering. It's intense, but very rewarding. ATM and Mech you are so nice and supportive, thanks so much.

Although I warn you..I would be several octaves lower than your brilliant voice!

Mech,
That would work. In Science Faction we were thinking of adding a lower voice to a few of the lines in the 2nd verse.
ex: Make it Real Make me Feel Brand new way
Well, have to plan to get together. Our place would be better because of the equipment, but we may be able to do it with our portable Dat player. We'll have to run it past Swamp.
Should be fun!!

We just redid an early 60's pice called "Out of Limits" originally by The Marketts. The song had the distinction of knocking the Beatles out of #1 for two weeks in January 1964. The guests are Joey Welz, - keyboardist with Bill Haley and The Comets of "Rock around the Clock" fame Bill Horwat - Guitarist with Creed Taylor Orchestra, Tiny Tim and film composer who has done a very famous News Theme. www.noble-gas.com/ool.mp3
