She took the art of Theremin playing places that were not of this earth. They would have concerts of up to 10 Theremin players together. From there the eerrie sounds effected just about every 50's Sci Fi movie.
She was a very close friend of Theremin, the inventor, until he was abducted/kidnapped back to his native country. But that's a whole other story.
