I just bought a portable rebounder and its the best fitness device ive ever bought so far. Even more efficient than running without the bad effects. ReboundingQuite possibly the worlds perfect exercise. One of a tiny few that actually increases your immunity and drains your entire lymphatic system without and jarring motion and use in a place with limited space inside your home. A zero-impact exercise, rebounding provides many benefits for you and your body: * Improves circulation * Increases the capacity of heart and lungs * Lowers cholesterol levels * Improves co-ordination and balance * Reduces stress and tension * Improves muscle tone (particularly legs, thighs, hips, abdomen and arms) * Increases energy and vitality * Boosts the lymphatic and immune system * Fits in with your lifestyle * AND IS GREAT FUN! Plus, unlike many other aerobic activities, rebounding places no strain on the joints of your body. Moms, dads, children, grandparents… Rebounding is suitable for all ages and abilities! Stabilizing bars can be fitted which may help if you feel unsteady or are elderly, disabled or handicapped. “Having had lots of problems that has prevent me doing any exercise for years due to wheelchair etc, I have discovered the wonders of rebounding! I started in the wheelchair with my feet on it and my husband bouncing. After a week of that I was able to sit on it myself and bounce. I have now progressed to standing whilst holding on to bar and bouncing myself. It has made me feel so much better and I get better at it daily.” - Maria Invest in a quality rebounder, which boasts: * A stable 6 leg design - cheaper 4 leg models are known to topple over * Unscrewable legs – for easy storage * A solid spring system – to ensure adequate support for your joints * A non-slip mat – for those trickier manoeuvres! Its for ALL abilities from beginner to pro. Even top athletes can benefit. Bestof all...it folds in half so you can take it with you to your hotel if you travel a lot.

Beneficial effects of rebounding on the Lymphatic system Why is rebounding so beneficial? Rebounding on a mini-trampoline affects every organ and is directly related to the efficiency of the lymphatic system and the immune function. The lymphatic system is a defense mechanism against infection, viruses, bacteria and disease. It is comprised of fluid, vessels and ducts. Provided the lymphatic system is functioning at its peak, tt clears toxins we absorb from our environment, wastes and infection from all tissues of the body through proper flow and drainage. Bouncing on a mini-trampoline offers many benefits to one's lymphatic system and overall health. Let's examine those. I was first introduced to rebounding by the popular motivational speaker Tony Robbins. Tony Robbins has helped me make marked improvements in not only my health but other aspects of my life as well. I highly recommend his life-changing programs. Mention the cardiovascular system and most people have a pretty good idea of what it is and how it functions. But although the lymphatic system is vitally important to our health, most people don’t understand it or even know what it is Lymphatic system simple The cardiovascular system delivers life-giving oxygen and nutrients to all of the body's cells and is connected up to a very strong pump - the heart. The lymphatic system collects toxins in the body Similarly, the lymphatic system is also connected to every organ in the body, but its function is completely different from that of the cardiovascular system. The lymphatic system is the "garbage collector", sucking up metabolic garbage, and toxins from the extracellular fluid of every organ. If this flow is impaired, the fluid becomes thick and toxic. lymph needs detoxification The cells which rely on the lymphatic system for elimination become less efficient and sluggish as they fill with their own waste. The lymphatic system - which in a healthy person is a life-sustaining system - now becomes a breeding ground for infection. When the fluid enters the bloodstream, which is part of the normal process, infection can now spread to any organ in the body. Many viruses, bacteria and parasites stay locked within the lymphatic system when it is in a sluggish state. The result: degenerative disease and an increase in the rate of aging. Moviong your lymph to help detoxify the body The lymphatic system is not connected to the heart, therefore it has to rely on some other activity to create the necessary "pumping action" it needs to circulate. The most important ways of increasing lymphatic circulation are: 1) massage and 2) vigorous exercise The lymphatic system is filled with millions of one-way valves, which allows the lymph fluid to flow in only one directrion - usually upward away from gravity. Almost anything which can stimulate the movement of lymph fluid inside the lymph vessels is beneficial, but the most efficient way to stimulate the flow of lymph fluid is by REBOUNDING on a mini-trampoline. The up and down rhythmic bouncing causes all of the one-way valves to open and close simultaneously, increasing lymph flow as much as 15 times. Rebounding is a highly beneficial form of exercise. lymphatic system dependent on detoxification Let's talk about the eliminative organs, such as the bowels, kidneys, lungs, lymph system, or skin, for example. When a foreign substance is present, the body’s first reflex is to expel or eliminate it. When this elimination is suppressed by any means such as taking pharmaceutical drugs, for example, some of the foreign matter gets pushed back into the system. As elimination is blocked, the very substances the body is trying to eliminate become stored within the body, causing any number of disease symptoms. the body then becomes toxic. When this happens, the degenerative disease process begins. Symptoms of a congested lymphatic system Many people have badly congested lymphatics and don’t even know it. At this time in our country the lymphatic system is the most over-looked system of the human body. In Europe stimulation of the lymph flow is the fourth most commonly prescribed medical treatment. Most U. S. healthcare practitioners seldom consider the lymphatic system’s critical role in preventing illness or its importance to the over all healing process. Some of the organs that are part of the lymphatic system are lymph nodes and lymph veins, the tonsils, adenoids, appendix and the spleen and you know what happens to those parts of the body whenever surgeons get close to them. Swollen glands, with which most of us are familiar, are symptomatic of blocked lymph nodes, which indicate a breakdown in the mechanical functioning of the lymphatic system. Other examples of congested lymphatics are: Allergies Prostatitis Chronic Sinusitis Heart disease Eczema & other skin conditions Loss of Energy Fibrocystic disease Chronic fatigue Repetitive parasitic infections Multiple Sclerosis Edema Lupus erythematosis Inflammation High blood pressure Viral infections Puffy eyes Bacterial infections Low back pain Loss of Energy Cancer Ear or balance problems Arthritis Headaches Cellulite Excessive sweating Obesity Your lymphatic system is like a "check valve". it only flows one-way. UP. If it didn't your lymph fluid would pool at your feet. The lymph system has NO pump. The best way to get it flowing is through rebound exercising.

Hi everyone. So this is where you went...I was wondering! I hope the Chemtrail old-timers are welcome!
Mech is that you? Or is the Neo from The Matrix in his pre-Zion days? You got that Keanu Reeves thang going, babe.
Okay, back on topic of rebounding. I just recently threw my rebounder away spring cleaning but I plan to get a new one. Let me share with you a wild story...
Long ago, on the first day I got my mini-trampoline, just like the one you bought, I didn't jump on it. I didn't do any of the exercises from the included exercise book...instead, I used it as a chair while watching a two hour movie. Heck, my lazy butt wasn't going to rebound when I had an awaiting movie to watch. I planted my new rebounder right in front of the TV and turned on the VCR. I sat Indian style in the middle of my rebounder and lightly bounced bounced bounced with no effort at all...sorta like how I shake leg or foot when crossed...not even thinking about it.
When the movie was over, I went to stand up and damn near buckled over. My stomach was cramping up and tight as a rock. The next day...even worse! I had no idea how bouncing while sitting for 2 hours could do that! The pain was second to plan of entering the guiness Book of Records for jumping rope the longest.

Hi Swedishoo, Yep, this is the Gastronamus Cafe. Stream of Consciousness predictions welcome. In fact, Gastronamus predicted a real profound one.............. Bush is approaching Nixon's area of ratings, and will soon surpass it on a negative side. Of course, that is about as easy a prediction as Gastro's last one....people will eat, and have gas tomorrow. Anyway, hope you'll enjoy the stay; Beat poetry, tunes, Geo-Engineering, Tech Stuff, Bush bashing, Nostalgia, sights for sore eyes, occasion disagreements, and even David is here (shake hands you two!!! ) LOL!!!

Hey Swedishoo.
Glad you got free of the Ego pilot lovers festival.
I am an A&P Aviation mechanic but I turned my interests towards the environmental field. (Water Filtration). Still love aviation though.
What kind of Re-bounder did you have?(made in china)?
I'm exMilitary and a runner (quarter mile in 8 minutes), plus I have a black belt in Tae kwon do....but lately Ive been traveling a lot so my fitness has been suffering.
Don't mean to sound like a broken record of like a commercial but wow...this rebounder is amazing.
I feel a LOT better than I have in years. My creativity that I used to have is getting stronger too.
If you have some physical disabilities or obesity..this iss the way to go too. Could it be your diziness and cramping has to do with a toxic lifestyle?
If you are at a verylow level..they recommend you start at a 5 minute soft bounce..twice aday.
Listen to your body.
Right Swamp?

Listen to your body. Right Swamp? Yes, right now, Theta and I are doing lots of digging and lifting, upper body stuff because the legs and abs were the main focus. Also, gave up ALL soy products, and actually feel better, less estrogen in both of us, and Theta is taking extra Wild Yam, Chasteberry, and Black Cohosh to stay balanced. I think Soy actually thickens the blood too much. Since then, we have re-discovered all of the wonderful nuts and seeds that we were ignoring like Filberts, pecans, and Brazil Nuts.

Let me tell you all some thing.
I was just out in Portland Oregon last week working on some water filters that were having some problems.
About the 4th day i was out there my father called me up on my cell phone and told me my 61 year old mother was in the hospital.
She had a tumor the size of a grapefruit around her lower bowel.
I was very frightened at the though of losing my dear mother..who hardly drank and never smoked her entire life. I thought it was impossible. Lucky for her...the tumor was benign and the surgeon removed it albeit with skilled hands.
This was a wakeup call for me and i hope to get mymother to start (gentle) rebounding in the coming months.
The more you can flush toxins from your system..the less likely these things will happen.
As much as i love running, backpacking and hiking..I notice at age 35 these things aren't as easy as they were at 18...so i feel..rebounding lubricates the joints very well for these types of sports as well as the lymphatic cleansing that your body has a difficult time in doing.
Other factors that will help.
Vegetarian or partial vegetarian diet Meditation and relaxation (but not laziness) Good relationships.

Glad Mom is OK. Having lost my parents when I was young does sure hurt. Just not getting rid of cross-linked proteins (which collect in the lymph system) is a major problem, and considered by many experts to be the #1 cause of aging. The more reason for juicing, wheatgrass, milk thistle, and low protein diet. L-Carnosine can flush out the cross-links, but not stop the root cause. The only element, drug, herb, enzyme, or nutirent to do that is: Alagebrium www.alteon.com/cross1.htmA Drug for Reversing Diseases of Diabetes and Aging Alteon's clinical program on treating diseases associated with aging and diabetes is focused on alagebrium, a first-in-class A.G.E. Crosslink Breaker. It has been demonstrated that the formation of A.G.E. Crosslinks is a process that results in irreversible tissue damage associated with enhanced inflammation, deposition of collagen, the major structural protein in the body, and a diminished function of many tissues and organs. Alagebrium is the most advanced agent in a new class of compounds that has been shown to chemically “break” A.G.E. crosslinks, thereby restoring more normal function to organs and tissues that have lost flexibility or function as a result of the crosslinks or the consequent tissue alterations induced by inflammation and scarring. By cleaving the pathological bonds that cause tissues, organs and vessels to stiffen and lose function over time, alagebrium has demonstrated the ability to reverse certain age-related and diabetes-related conditions. A.G.E.s also are known to upregulate various inflammatory and matrix producing cytokines. These signaling molecules are known to modulate the body’s response to injury and inflammation and are responsible for both healing and scarring of tissues. As a composite, these cytokines induce pathologic alterations in tissues and organs resulting in a loss of flexibility or function. The deposition of excess collagen matrix protein in the heart results in stiffness of the ventricles or pumping chambers of the heart leading to diastolic dysfunction and chronic heart failure. Similar deposition of matrix proteins in the kidney results in scarring of the kidney with leakage of protein into the urine. Similar alterations are known to occur in many organs including the eye, resulting in visual impairment that is provoked by aging or elevated glucose in diabetes. Alagebrium is the only A.G.E. Crosslink Breaker in advanced human testing. The compound has demonstrated promising results in several Phase 2 human clinical trials and is being developed initially for cardiovascular and vascular diseases. Results to date suggest that alagebrium may be a novel therapy for a number of conditions that occur as a result of myocardial or vascular alterations associated with aging or diabetes. Preliminary evidence suggests that the compound is able to modify both the structure and function of the left ventricle (main pumping chamber of the heart) consistent with a partial reversal of pathology. Similarly, alagebrium has been shown to improve the reactivity and function of the arterial system. In addition, in all clinical testing to date, the compound has demonstrated a clean safety profile. Alagebrium is a small, easily synthesized compound with a rapid mode of action. It is well absorbed from an oral tablet formulation.

Sorry bro..I had no Idea.
I got to drive down the Columbia river gorge wilderness area right off of 84 east.....BEAUTIFUL!!
Wish I had the time to hike some of the trails though.
I will totally let you know when I'm back there.
Stayed at the Holiday Inn right off of 205 near the airport after the columbia river RT 205 bridge.
We have a lot of water filters in the area.
Thanks a lot. I don't want to lose my mom too soon.

Yes, glad to hear your mom is going to be okay. I had a friend stop by earlier (after I posted) and I noticed I had to re-log on again. The features here are somewhat different, but I'll figure them out. Wow, you guys sound ultra-healthy! That's great. My son is working on his second degree in taekwondo; still a spectator sport for me though Hey Swampy, you said for David and I to shake hands...were we feuding? Or does he not like me for some reason? Christy

Yes, Mech I'm very happy to hear that your Mom is doing better. Science has made life so much more tolerable when used for positive purposes. Like you say a very important wake up call for you.
I have to be very careful of skin issues since my Mom had a bit of melonoma. And a big one for me is the heart. My Dad had three heart attacks already. He is still kicking but not as hard as before.
Loosing our loved ones is no easy thing to live with or to loose our health.
The Rebounder you mentioned sounds interesting. In this very unsafe world that we live in, we need to use indoor ways of exercising to be safer.

Now, I don't want to improperly post on the rebounding thread, but is there another thread in which to just chit chat? To be honest, I was wondering what really happened at CTC. I know Mark was sincerely upset over it, then BOOM, ya'll were gone and mum was the word! I was like.... what the hey?

Thanks Theta.
She was VERY happy to see all of the family...not necessarily all at once, but she saw all of us with our busy lives.
She's back at home..looking forward to planting more perrenials and tending to her garden. One that shes been working on for decades.
The rebounder is for ALL fitness levels.
I have "advanced urban rebounding" on DVD..and so far..after "intermediate level" it kicks my ass. So...
as the old/timeless saying goes..."always room for improvement".
They have rebounding DVDs for specific sports from weightlifting, to dancing, to martial arts.

They help if you don't know what typee of rebound fitness regimine you wish to take. Its more for advanced or in-shape rebounders.
Actually...the manufacturer recommends that you simply soft-bounce on it for 5 minutes twice a day to activate the lymph system and basic muscle stimulation..so anyone at a low level of fitness can start at that.
Best of all it works just about ALL of your muscles.

Yes, you can go to the CTC discussions thread, and PM me for Password. It's pretty old now, but you can catch up. Thermit got us a bit tiffed at the time, but we're on to better things now, as CTC just became rather "toxic", as if concentration too much on one subject (chemtrails) was taking too much of a center stage. While it is completely important, and I am in complete solidarity with chem activists, there are other places that need as much attention. My specialty happens to be media manipulation and propaganda, and how Linear and militarized our society is becoming.

We have to stay in shape so we can stand our ground. I can see what a visious cycle it is as you get older and more out of shape you loose the drive to keep up with what it takes to be in shape. Life here in Merka is like a big sparing match, so, we have no choice but to 'out live' these toxic avengers. This conversation feels like we are on the rebounder. Changing back a forth from one subject to the other. Hey it works for me.

Heh...
This isn't an Ego story...BUT...
Our military aviation squadron (Enlisted) used to do PT (Physical training) with the officers..(Elites)...but when some of us new enlisted guys were coming up in the ranks and beating the pants off of them in PT scores in our evals, they decided to SEPERATE us into two areas (Officer and enlisted PT).
I thought that was pretty amusing.
Poor babies.
By the way....
