What does anyone here know about the effect of caffeine on the body? I’ve suffered from chronic migraine headaches and other problems for many years. I’ve also been one to drink a lot of soda and caffeine tea. I’ve always read that caffeine has been known to cause headaches but I never believed it. Then just for the hell of it, as hard as it was for me to do, I decide to cut out caffeine. I’ve been drinking only water for about a week now. It’s amazing just how much of a difference it has seemed to make though it’s still too early to say for sure. I’ve also read that just a small amount of caffeine can have a dehydrating effect on the body which can lead to fatigue and other problems. Dehydration is also what causes that terrible hangover you get after a long night of drinking. I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced any difficulties relating to caffeine? You’d be surprised as to how many seemingly un-related health troubles can be directly related to this. And it can be almost addictive as well.

Green Tea is probably the best way to get caffeine, since it has so many other benefits. What Theta and I have occasionally is Organic Expresso. No headaches, and it is kind of euphoric. The key is to get Organic coffee. If you don't, there are a ton of pesticides and GMO beans in standard mixes, which can cause all kinds of problems, including headaches.

I have only got headaches when I quit coffee,with-drawls I suppose. I love coffee and there is nothing like a strong black cup of Joe,I use the melitta pour over system and use way too much ground up fresh beans I buy from a coffee stand and they go through a lot of beans so they are always really fresh. O.K there I go,yes I do know something about coffee it IS addictive haha. My older sister drinks green tea too Swamp, she used to get a lot of migraines and they have slowed down now, since drinking more green tea than coffee. My little girl on the other hand gets migraines occasionally and I know that if you don't drink strong coffee on a regular basis that when you get a migraine it can actually relieve them,so this is what I did for my 11 yr. old when she gets one and it does seem to help her. My mother used to give us coffee when we were really pretty young,I remember being like 7 when I was given coffee. I do have to say that I have really low blood pressure and pulse rate,my blood pressure is like 110 over 60 and my pulse rate runs about 65 beats a minute,I always ask my doctor to double check it because I also am a mild smoker (It is also organically grown)(but no alcohol)and just cannot believe that it runs this low,but it does. Now,I guess my opinion on this is possibly it mostly depends on the person and their overall health,in the first place. But I am not a genius as you all already know take care, chicky

Thanks for the tips. I think I'll try organic if I can find it. Kind of hard to find around these parts.
