You have to hand it to Alex, he is very vocal about what he believes, and is pretty fearless.
My one and only gripe about him is he talks about phony left vs right, but his core social values are conservative and right-wing, especially with regards to religion. He is a Libertarian and Constitutionalist, but does lean to the right. I would consider someone like Gore Vidal or Marc Maron Left-leaning libertarians/Constitutionalists.
If he truly wants to be beyond the Con vs Lib dichotomy, than perhaps he shouldn't call environmentalists and animal rights people "wackos', yet talk so fondly of Christianity. One could be an environmentalist/animal rightist AND a Christian or vice-versa. There are phonies that are so-called environmentalists AND Christians. That is why I am so careful in labeling Christians either Phoney or True. Blanket statements never go over well, and if Alex is hoping to get liberals and leftists on his side, he should consider these points. I simply do not believe protecting trees, the air, and defenseless animals are "Communist Plots", nor do I not think that humans are not accelerating global warming. He talks down cloning, yet I would like to see what he thought if he had a disease that was dependent on recombinant DNA. His views on medical marijuana are rather archaic too. He wants to see abortion made illegal also. I thought we were down that road once before. As I do with any person or idea, I take the most logical and compassionate, and synthesize my own world view.
His fight for freedom is his strong point, and no one can match him on that.
In the long run, I'm still glad to see people like Alex, and I support him in his exposing the New World Order. The Left could learn a lesson in that respect.
