Did you guys know that Dennis Kucinich is a vegetarian? I found out last week when a reporter for AlterNet followed him around and did a write up on the time they spent together on the campaign trail. The article talked about how Kucinich shared a vegetarian meal with the reporter in the Kucinich van. The guy walked away with a newfound respect for Kucinich! (and not because of the vegetarian meal - ha, ha).
Here is something that 2 very special Board Administrators would know a thing or two about! If you guys send in a recipe or artwork - please share it with us too!

Ever wonder what fuels our heroic candidate as he strides confidently and energetically across the national campaign stage? Pure veggies, of course!
Perhaps you're a vegan too and already know the advantages of a vegan diet. If so, please share your culinary magic with the rest of us and help the Kucinich campaign in the process.
Join other DJK supporters from across the country who have already submitted recipes. We've even acquired the "secret" recipe for Dennis' favorite (and closely guarded) vegan chocolate cake!
If you have a recipe to share, please submit it to cooking@kucinich.us along with:
Your name, city, and state (optional)
Name of your dish
Number of servings
The source of recipe (if known)
Deadline for submissions is January 30th
Consider the following possible categories:
Breakfasts
Pasta
Vegetables/Raw veggies
Soups
Rice dishes
Spreads and Sauces
Tofu, grains and beans
Salads and Dressings
Ethnic favorites
Desserts
Baked goods
Beverages
More food for thought: If you don't have a recipe, but would still like to help serve up this project, please consider making a donation to offset printing and production costs at one of the following support levels:
$25--Caterer, $50--Maitre d', $100--Gourmet, or $200--Master Chef
Please write "Cookbook" on your envelope and on your check (made out to Kucinich for President) and send to the Northern California Headquarters: Kucinich for President, 21 Tamal Vista Blvd. #175, Corte Madera, California 94925. If you'd rather donate by credit card, please call us at 415-927-2004 and mention the Cooking with Kucinich fundraising campaign.
